These pictures were taken on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006 at Calvary Baptist Church, Darien, CT. The women of the church lovingly blessed the men with a
beautiful decorated table, table setting and an encouraging word from
scripture.
Each setting was placed on a white tablecloth decorated
with small red hearts, miniature red and silver covered chocolate hearts and
a red carnation. The plate itself was red with Happy Valentine’s Day on
it. At the head of the plate was a
small Valentine Day's light cardboard bag holding candy kisses. Resting
against that bag was a musical note with the inscription "He who sings
to the Lord prays twice". Various Valentine's Day decorations hung from the
ceiling over the table giving the whole room a very festive appearance. The men truly appreciated this act of love.
And also the young men:
The blackboard held the message “Happy Valentine's Day
to the men of Calvary" followed by a quote from Micah 6:8: "And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and walk humble with your God" It was signed with a heart pierced by an arrow with the inscription: "We love you!"
