Subject:       A Judicial System That Needs Changing!

Date:            March 31, 2005

Dear Editor:

My heart was saddened when I learned of the passing of Terri Schiavo.  She fought a historic battle against great odds for 15 years and would have continued to fight if she was given half a chance. There is something wrong with a judicial system that bends over backwards to preserve the life of a serial killer who says he deserves and wants to die but orders the death of a brai  n damaged woman who could not speak for herself.

We need to see changes taking place before it is too late. We must wake up to the fact that the judicial system has over stepped its legal bounds and is now making laws rather than enforcing them. If we don't stand up for our rights now they will all be taken away from us. We must work to appoint judges who will defend the Constitution rather than rewrite it to suit their own purposes.  We must make changes in our constitution so that Supreme Court Justices are appointed for a specific number of years and not for life.  We must also give Congress the right to reverse the decisions of the court by a two-thirds vote.

I am glad that my citizenship is in heaven and not in this world that is filled with injustice.  The wrongs of this world will one day be made right when Jesus returns.  I would not want to be in the shoes of the judge, politicians and unfaithful husband who contributed to the death of Terri Schiavo.  They may not be punished in this life but you can be sure that they will receive what is due to them when Jesus comes unless they acknowledge their sin and repent.  Forgiveness is available to all who will turn to Jesus and away from their sin.  I pray that all those who were responsible for this unjust execution of an innocent woman will repent and put their trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

                                                          Sincerely,
