The Reverend Doctor Anthony L. Gibson and his wife Irene have have two sons, Steve and Jon. Steve is married to Karen (Murphy) and is an Architect at Neil Hauck Architects in Darien, CT and Jon is married to Carrie (Samuelson) and has been trained as a Civil Engineer, and now serves as Minister of Worship and Arts at New Hanover Church in
Mechanicsville, Virginia.
Dr. Gibson (Tony) has more than 39 years of pastoral experience having served churches in Brooklyn, New York before coming to Darien more than 32 years ago. He has the heart of a servant and is always looking for ways to enhance his ministry as a Pastor. He practices expository preaching and seeks to make practical application of the Word of God to life situations. He is a trained Biblical counselor and is certified by the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors and the International Association of Biblical Counselors. He has also taken training in conciliation with the Peacemaker Ministries. He is a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Mrs. Gibson (Irene) is a capable Bible teacher. She has taught women, teens and children through her years as a Pastor's wife. She served as a counselor with the Sermons From Science Pavilion at the New York World's Fair and as a leader of Pioneer Girls Explorer Group. She is a loving wife, mother and hostess who opens her home willingly to guests.
